FISHING Salmon Lake is
stocked by the Department of Fish and Game, as are many of the high county
lakes and streams. The hatchery fish are hybrid Rainbow Trout. The native
population includes Eastern Brook, German Brown and Rainbow Trout. Fishing is best in
June, September and October when the water is cool. Fishing
licenses and bait are available at Bassett's. Guest fish may be cleaned only
in the fish cleaning sink in the Lodge.

SWIMMING The lake is warm enough
to swim from late June - mid September. Circa 1920 HIKING Hiking trails lead
to scenic meadows, glacial lakes, and the nearby Pacific Crest Trail. |
